ORIGIN
This historic team has been part of American baseball tradition for over 140 years. The Cincinnati Reds are the first ever professional team in the USA and they’ve been established with its franchise lineage dating back to 1882. Back then they were called the Cincinnati Red Stockings when Major League Baseball was first established in North America. After the Red Stockings disbanded, the team rejoined the league and just made themselves known as the Reds. Since then, they were basically called the Big Red Machine.
AMAZING WINS OVER THE YEARS
1919 – The Cincinnati Reds has been a force in sports entertainment since its inception. The team has led fans into a great deal of wins across the decades. In 1919, the team led by Hall of Famer Edd Roush won the world series against the Chicago White Sox.
1940 – Due to the Great Depression, there was quite the drought for Cincinnati baseball fans but the team had a revival in 1933 when electronic magnates the Crosley Brothers took the team out of bankruptcy. In less than a decade since their revival, the team captured the championship against the Detroit Tigers. It was also the team’s first championship in over two decades.
1975 – The 70s was a great time to be a Cincinnati Reds fan. For starters, this was probably the best team development that franchise ever had. They were named the Big Red Machine during this era. Although the moment had its ups and downs, it was also the time when the Cincinnati Red had Hall of Famers Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench, and Tony Perez – these men were part of the Great Eight. By 1975, the team had a magnificent season and won the gold against the Boston Red Sox.
1976 – The following year was even better. Fresh from their amazing win the previous year, the Great Eight continued their winning streak with some addition of rookies. Along with underrated staff that significantly helped the team to its victory, the Cincinnati Reds won against New York Yankees in a 4-0 finale.
1990 – The dismantling of the Big Red Machine had been tumultuous for the team after the amazing wins in 1975 and 1976. But the 90s proved to be a great moment again for Cincinnati baseball fans. Although the 80s had a strong line up, it wasn’t until 1990 when the Reds won their next championship – they won over the Oakland Athletics.
“A perfect mix of new ballpark amenities and old time baseball history.”

REVIEWS
Fans are not just beaming about the team but also the Cincinnati Reds’ home, the Great American Ball Park. Here are some of the reviews from long time Reds fans.
“I loved GABP when I first went there in 2004, and I still think it is one of the nicer stadiums in the league. I cannot wait to get back” – RedfanT from the Redzone.com. Meanwhile, another reviewer, Arenafanatic, from the same forum raved about the venue’s incredible bathrooms. “I can mention the restroom situation in the review. I think most venues built in the 90’s and beyond really caught on to the importance of access to restrooms and having enough in the stadium. From my experience at GABP I have not had a problem with the restrooms.”
Meanwhile Talknats.com mentioned, “A perfect mix of new ballpark amenities and old time baseball history. The legacy of Rose, Bench, Morgan, and the rest of the Big Red Machine are everywhere, from the statues as you walk in to the jerseys on the fans.
Over at Yelp, Jamison H. from Indianapolis wrote, “This is a great park to watch baseball at. It is right on the river and has a great view. Reds fans are always nice.” Meanwhile, Bill Z. from New York had a fantastic time during his visit, “I’m glad I finally got here. The park has an intimate feel to it, a great view of the Ohio River, enthusiastic fans, and some really fun vendors with distinctive voices and calls as they meander between the aisles.”
